About me

Curabitur convallis fringilla diam

An academic–artist devoted to the
study, practice, and preservation of Manipuri dance traditions.

I am an academician, researcher, and performing artist specializing in Manipuri Classical and Folk/Tribal Dance, with a strong engagement in Tagore Music, Dance, and Drama. I currently serve as Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) at Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan. With a Ph.D. in Manipuri Dance from Rabindra Bharati University, my work bridges rigorous scholarship with artistic practice. My research and publications focus on Manipuri dance traditions, Vaishnavism, and Indian performing arts. I have been actively involved in teaching, curriculum development, and research supervision at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Through performance, pedagogy, and scholarship, I continue to contribute to the preservation and dissemination of India’s classical dance heritage.
